BizWorks

BizWorks allows professionals to meet in a non-competitive and mutually supportive environment to exchange business referrals and help each other identify resources for business needs. These groups are intended to be a tool for members to cultivate professional relationships, increase knowledge and grow their business. The BizWorks Group will be comprised of 8-10 randomly selected chamber members each from a different business category or industry.

What will BizWorks offer my business?

• Focused opportunity to create and maintain an effective network
• Build personal and professional relationships with other chamber members
• Develop strategies to grow and expand your business

• BizWorks – meets the 1st Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. at the Chamber  
  • Additional BizWorks Groups may be added if the need arises.
  • If a BizWorks group wants to maintain the same members and meet on a regular basis to share referrals and business needs, the group may submit a request to the Chamber.
     

• BizWorks participants must be members of the Van Buren Chamber in good standing
• ONE person will represent a category/industry per group
• A BizWorks registration link will be emailed to all active Chamber Members.  BizWorks group members will be randomly selected from the registration list.  If you are not selected, you will automatically be placed in the registration pool for the next group that will meet the following month.  Additional groups may be added each month if the need arises.
• Member businesses may have one employee from their business participate in a Bizworks group, however anyone from their business may also act as a substitute if they are unable to attend
• A minimum of 8 members is needed to create a new group.  Groups will have a maximum of 10 members
• Each group member will have the opportunity to give a 45 second “elevator pitch” at the beginning of each meeting
• Attendees are encouraged to bring two sales leads to the meeting to share with group members. Attendees may also bring two business needs to be presented to the group to help identify a resource to meet those needs.
