Industrial Maintenance Technician

Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment. Typical duties include basic service to facility plumbing, heating, and electrical systems as well as routine inspection and servicing of machinery to prevent break-down. The Industrial Maintenance Technician, as directed by the Maintenance Manager, will support production team, and ensure that facility systems are operating to meet safety standards.

  • Must display a cooperative spirit working closely with machine operators in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Adhere to company policy and requirements by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment as the task or environment dictates
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks on key equipment and machinery
  • Troubleshoot issues on machinery to locate source of problems with operation
  • Disassemble machinery and remove/replace defective parts
  • Maintain facility pneumatic systems including vacuum system ductwork
  • Troubleshooting and repair on hydraulic equipment including hoses, fittings, and pumps
  • Support Production and Operations in the following.
  • New equipment installation
  • Relocation of existing equipment
  • Relocation and installation of utilities to support set-up and relocation of production lines and work cells
  • 5+ years of experience performing maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial plant
  • Experience with operation of forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts
  • Experience with metal cutting, forming, welding, and fabrication equipment is a plus. Experience with CNC wood cutting, laminating, milling and millwork equipment is a plus
  • Familiarity and ability to work on electrical equipment such as transformers, power distribution units, circuit breakers, motors, VFDs, lighting systems, and other electrical components is a plus
  • Familiarity and basic ability to work within Microsoft Word and Excel
